Traveling Art Journal Swap #1

Round 1 of the Traveling Art Journal swap. I plan on doing this swap monthly, so please don’t sign up if you can’t commit to such a requirement. It’s not fair to the other participants. I understand life happens, but please let your partner know if you’re going to be late sending this swap.

THIS IS YOUR FIRST ROUND: You will buy a journal, notebook, comp book anything with at least 34-40 pages (This can be handmade or bought) - no smaller than 5.5" x 8" and no bigger than 9"x12". Not required but may I suggest this journal - great heavy paper (Strathmore Visual Journal 90lb Mixed Media paper - about $5) On the cover write what this journal is for - Traveling Art Journal & then decorate the cover and back cover!!! Then you will write a short Bio about yourself (1-2 pages) and include a photo of yourself (can be an actual photograph or a drawn/mixed - media / painted self portrait) Then on the next page you will include an art journal entry of anything you want… (if you are new to art journals please google the term "Art Journal" for inspiration). Then you will do the same thing on the next page. Then you will leave a prompt - a journal page inspiration for your partner on what kind of journal entry they should create in the journal. Then send it to your partner. Be sure to include your address on the last page so we know where to send the Journal home to when it’s full. So all together you will have added a bio, 2 art journal pages, and an inspirational prompt.
